About the project

This is a Flutter-based marketplace app using the BLoC pattern. It includes full authentication, browsing listings (e.g., houses, cars) with filters, creating posts with images and pricing, and user profile management. The app supports multiple languages, local data storage, and responsive layouts for phone and tablet.

Megamall was built for a classifieds operator whose sellers were posting on social media because the old site was too slow to use on a phone. They wanted one app where a listing takes a few taps, the categories carry their own fields, and the whole thing reads in more than one language.

The Challenges

What we had to solve

One layout, phone and tablet The same screens had to work on both, so the layouts are built from breakpoints rather than fixed sizes and the listing grid reflows by width.
Listings of very different things Houses and cars need different fields and filters, so a category carries its own attribute set and the filter panel is built from it.
Posting with photos on mobile data Images are resized on the device before upload and a draft post is kept locally until every picture has been sent.
More than one language Text is loaded from translation files and the layouts are tested with the longest wording, so nothing is cut off when the language changes.
