ToursXplorer was built for a travel operator whose catalogue was growing faster than its website could show it. They wanted search that narrows a long list quickly, a booking that takes payment in a few steps, and room to add tours without rebuilding anything.

The Challenges
What we had to solve
- Search over a long catalogue Filters are answered from an index rather than the booking tables, so narrowing by date, price and destination stays quick as tours are added.
- Price and availability by date A tour costs different amounts on different days, so availability and price are held per departure and checked again before payment is taken.
- Booking in a few steps Traveller details, extras and payment are collected in one flow that keeps its state if the visitor comes back to it.
- Built to grow Tours, destinations and seasons are content the team manages, so a new offering needs an entry rather than a release.
